The Woodbury Fire Department has held it's annual elections. The election for the Chief and Deputy Chief were held on June 8th. The company officer elections were suppose to be held on June 9th but, that was a little hard to do as that was the night the F1 tornado and severe storms rolled in.

The first Sunday in May should be spent doing yard work. But, that is not true for members of the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department. They spent the day training. It was a day that took a lot of planning and prep work to get new training evolutions in place.

The WVFD held their quarterly "team" drill for the Rope Rescue Team. They were told they had a victim at the bottom of a ravine and they could only take him up and out. They handled the task with ease and completed the task in under an hour.

The Windsor Volunteer Fire Department has identfied a firefighter who collapsed while responding to a call Monday night and later died at an area hospital. Robert Watts, 50, was responding to a call at Windsor Rehabilitation Center and collapsed at the scene while working the water supply.
